Clayton & Denton’s Story

One word to describe Clayton: Driven

One word to describe Denton: Determined

Both Clayton and Denton enjoy showing cattle, being active in FFA, and spending time with their friends and family. They are currently the managers of their high school football team. The twins aspire to raise cattle, and have their system figured out. Clayton would like to run the farm portion of the cattle operation, and Denton would like to be the brains behind the scenes.

Inclusion to the Stapleton family means, providing everyone with a fair turn.  No matter your ability or disability, everyone deserves to be included.  Modifications can be made to any activity to make everyone be able to enjoy!

Being empowered is a feeling and the realization that just because our kids’ legs don’t work like other kids, doesn’t make them any less of an individual.  Their mom shares that “they can do anything that is put in front of them, and it is up to us as parents to give the empowerment to realize this potential!”

Denton felt most empowered last year, when he first started showing cattle! His mom shares that she thought he felt some people didn’t think he would be able to handle a 1500-pound animal in a show ring and do so competitively.  However, he did and did it well! Clayton feels empowered when he is driving.  It has taken him a little longer, and their family has had to figure a few things out along the way, however, he has been able to get behind the wheel of a car and drive like the rest of his friends!

Clayton and Denton continue to work both together and individually to move mountains and make their dreams come true.
